At the same time, it is of course a challenge to find balance between the general and already established, and strategic advancement and innovation - which is and always has been Humlab's trademark.

The first part of Humlab was inaugurated about 17 years ago, in 2001, and after that the premises have evolved. It is now time to update and adjust the space according to our contemporary activities.

On the one hand, the premises and furniture now have become more flexible in order to switch between different types of learning situations, but on the other hand, the lab also has spaces with specific functions, such as a so-called maker space and a sound studio.

The "new" lab also offers improved opportunities for smaller meetings - for research, teaching and collaboration. Lab staff has been expanded and needs appropriate workplaces, as with the rebuilding now.
