Short courses

Each semester HUMlab hosts a number of short courses which spans about 3 hours. The short courses are usually geared towards beginners and is meant to provide a first introduction on a particular subject to encourage further experimentation.

The short courses are free for students and university staff, external participants will be charged 1800 SEK for each course. Questions about the short courses are best directed at Jon Svensson. If you have any suggestions concerning which short courses you would like to see in HUMlabs, please let us know!

Registration

Click on the "Registration" link next to the course you wish to register for. Alternatively, you can send an email to anmal@humlab.umu.se.

If you are unsure of which language a course will be held in, or if it would be possible to change the language to english for a specific course, feel free to ask by emailing Jon Svensson.

Some courses are very popular and we can only accomodate a limited number of participants. If you register to a course which has already been filled, you will be placed in a queue and may be given a slot if another registered participant cancels their registration. In the event of this you will be emailed about the open slot.

About the courses

In general the short courses doesn't requre any prerequisite knowledge, but always read the course description. Most courses are intended merely as introductions to a subject.

After the introductionary course everyone is welcome to continue working on the subject in the lab. For this it's very helpful to have an account.
